Life's Too Short
I don't want to live any day twice.
Life's too short for that.
I want to make every day different,
each day, wearing a different hat.
Making a new friend every day,
or maybe learn something new.
Every day do something unexpected,
Something I thought I'd never do.
I'd like to visit other places of the world,
or do touristy things in my own state,
go to the zoo all on my own,
try foods I never ate.
Read a book I didn't think I'd like,
smile at people I don't know,
not worry about tomorrow,
and if I wanna go, just go.
Take long drives for no reason,
take long walks just for the air,
visit each ocean coast,
talk to God each day in prayer.
Talk more to those I love,
and strive not to hate,
don't let everyone else
overfill my obligation plate.
Do things to fill my days,
but relax when I need it, too,
Because life's too short not
to do what I want to do
