I'll be the first to admit it- I spend a good amount of time in the land of fiction. I read books like I'll starve without them, I'm addicted to fanfiction on the internet, I write fanfiction and original fiction of my own, and I have a few tv shows I hate to miss. One of those tv shows is Criminal Minds and I watched the season finale tonight. Be warned: spoilers following.
They love to leave us with cliff hangers, and this one is a doozy! It was a crazy, disturbing 2 hour long episode, what with the unsub slaughtering people and feeding them to the pigs that he ate- shudder- and his paraplegic brother really being the true master mind behind it. Both brothers were killed at the end, and you could almost see it coming, at least for one of them- it was almost sad about the other one once you realized he was mentally retarded and didn't really understand what he was doing. They were able to save the current victim- I could swear it was Molly Ringwald, but it was hard to tell- though it was pretty sad that the sister of the lead guest star was definately a victim that hadn't been saved. He, by the way, was the one to kill the paraplegic unsub. But the most disturbing aspect: Is Hotch dead?!! They left us hanging just as the intruder to Hotch's apartment pointed the gun at Hotch's face, then of course the screen went black as the shot sounded, so there was no way to know what happened for sure. I hope he's not, I hate losing the lead characters on my fave shows- I had a hard enough time with Kate dying on NCIS, though I did get used to Ziva. And it was very hard to get used to Elle being replaced by Prentiss on Criminal Minds, though I did finally come to like her, and at least Elle's not dead, just gone. I completely quit watching the original CSI, though. Losing three of the much-loved main characters in less than two full seasons was too much, and I quickly lost interest in the show. Oh well. Already waiting for next season, now that I have nothing to do most days, unable to work, and all. But the season for Psych is about to start, I think, so there's that to look forward to. Do I sound like a total tv- aholic? Honest- my fave shows only ammount to one hour three nights a week- if I don't count Oprah and Dr. Phil most afternoons.
